Randstad Education is seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Teachers for opportunities within schools. In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating a nurturing, secure, and stimulating environment where children with special educational needs can truly thrive. This is a permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday - Friday inline with school hours.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of SEN students
- Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for pupils, setting clear targets and monitoring progress
- Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support students' learning and development
- Assess pupils' abilities and progress regularly, adapting teaching methods as necessary
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies (e.g., therapists, psychologists) to provide holistic support
- Manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social and emotional development
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on pupil progress for parents and senior management
- Participate in professional development to stay updated on SEN best practices and legislation

- Managing behaviour of pupils whilst undertaking work to ensure a constructive environment
- Strong classroom management
- Motivated and enthusiastic demeanour
- Be an inspiring and engaging communicator
- Use imagination and innovation to enhance learning experience
Personal Attributes:
- Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours
- Ability to engage with, and build rapport with the students
- Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style
- Have experience with SEN or knowledge of learning difficulties
- Experience up to key stage 3/4 QTS/PGCE equivalent

All candidates will be subject to Randstad Education's child protection and UK eligibility vetting including a DBS check and providing satisfactory references. A DBS on the update service would be a distinct advantage due to the urgent nature of some of these roles.
