Are you looking to start a long-term role in a teaching assistant role? Are you looking to grow your career within education? Have you got a passion for working with children? We are looking for a passionate and conscientious teaching assistant to work in a mainstream primary setting at Manchester. You will be based in a KS2 classroom, providing support and guidance to all children alongside general classroom duties. This is a full-time role (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM) available as soon as possible. You will have the chance to support students, as well as continue your own professional development. It is a highly rewarding role, where qualifications are desired but not required! We are looking for those with experience working with children and/or young people.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring pupils stay on task
- Controlling behaviour in the classroom
- Providing support to children on a 1-to-1 basis or in a group setting when required
- Assisting the teacher in planning engaging lessons for the class in line with the curriculum
- Liaising with the class teacher and parents to provide the best support

Requirements
- Experience working with a KS2 environment
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
- Positive attitude to learning
- Able to adapt to the different needs of each child
- Flexibly adhere to the needs of the pupils in a professional and friendly manner
- Able to use initiative to do general tasks within the classroom
