Are you an immediately available, experienced SEN Teacher seeking a rewarding temporary role in a specialist setting? We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Temporary SEN Teacher to join our team for a fixed-term period at our specialist school, which focuses on supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Role
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to the specific SEMH and learning needs of a small class group.
- Take full responsibility for a class, ensuring all pupils are engaged and making progress during your tenure.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
- Work closely with a dedicated team of Teaching Assistants, directing their support effectively.
- Contribute to the school's positive culture, adhering to all policies and procedures.
- Ensure accurate recording and reporting of pupil progress and well-being.
What We Are Looking For
- A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
- Demonstrably experienced in teaching pupils with SEN, particularly SEMH needs (essential).
- Immediately available and able to commit to the full duration of the temporary contract.
- Highly skilled at adapting the curriculum quickly to meet diverse learning styles.
