The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Pastoral Support Worker to join a welcoming school in Bradford. Requirements

  • Previous experience in a pastoral or support role within a school or similar setting.

  • An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or the willingness to apply for one.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

  • Monitoring student attendance and punctuality, implementing strategies to improve them.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for students, parents, and teachers regarding pastoral concerns.
  • Liaising with external agencies, such as social services, to ensure students receive appropriate support.
  • Implementing and monitoring individual support plans for vulnerable students.
  • Delivering targeted interventions and workshops on topics such as resilience, anxiety, and self-esteem.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records of student interactions and support provided.
  • Contributing to the school\’s positive behaviour management system.
  • Attending and contributing to pastoral and safeguarding meetings.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive school culture where every student feels valued and supported.
