Are you an enthusiastic Qualified P.E. Teacher looking for a teaching role that works around your lifestyle, rather than the other way around? Whether you are seeking the total flexibility and variety of day-to-day supply cover, or you prefer the rewarding continuity of a long-term departmental placement, we have exceptional opportunities tailored exactly to your schedule.

We are currently partnering with an established portfolio of secondary schools, academies, and sports colleges throughout Norwich and the surrounding Norfolk area. We are experiencing a high demand for energetic, proactive P.E. specialists who can inspire students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with potential Key Stage 5 delivery) to stay active, build team skills, and develop a lifelong passion for physical literacy and well-being.

Whether you are an experienced P.E. educator looking to step away from full-time administrative and extra-curricular burdens, or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) eager to gain broad experience across diverse PE departments, we can help you find your ideal balance.

Choose Your Ideal Way of Working:
  • Day-to-Day Cover: Take complete control of your schedule. Choose exactly which days you want to work to perfectly fit around your personal commitments, coaching schedules, or lifestyle. It is a fantastic way to experience different school environments and lead active practical lessons.
  • Long-Term Opportunities: If you prefer stability, we have fixed-term roles spanning a term or a full academic year (covering maternity, sickness, or interim gaps). This is the perfect way to embed yourself within a PE department, coach school teams, deliver theoretical PE courses (GCSE PE/BTEC Sport), and see your students thrive over time.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver vibrant, inclusive, and high-energy practical P.E. lessons across a wide variety of sports and activities for KS3 and KS4.
  • Deliver engaging theoretical content for GCSE PE, BTEC Sport, or Cambridge National qualifications (where applicable for long-term roles).
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and risk assessment across indoor sports halls, gymnasiums, swimming pools, and outdoor fields.
  • Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, positive behaviour management, and active participation among pupils of all athletic abilities.
What We Look For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or an equivalent physical education teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a closely related discipline with strong UK curriculum knowledge.
  • Confident classroom and field management skills with an encouraging, highly motivational communication style.
  • An adaptable, proactive approach, ready to jump straight into active secondary school environments.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
Benefits of Working With Us:
  • Competitive rates of pay, processed weekly and reflective of your experience level.
  • A dedicated local consultant with deep knowledge of the Norwich and wider Norfolk secondary education sectors.
  • A completely transparent service that works strictly around your personal availability.
  • The chance to explore different local schools, which frequently opens doors to permanent positions if that is your ultimate goal.
