This role focuses on supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) within a curriculum model that mirrors primary-style delivery. Responsibilities
- Lead a specific class group, delivering a bespoke curriculum tailored to students functioning at Early Years to Year 3 developmental levels.
- Design and execute practical, hands-on lessons that utilise a spiral curriculum to reinforce student knowledge through repetition.
- Oversee a team of teaching assistants to ensure high-quality, coordinated support for all learners in the classroom.
- Create and adapt sensory-based learning resources to engage students with limited communication or physical mobility.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress, feeding directly into annual EHCP reviews and individual learning targets.
- Promote personal development by teaching essential life skills that encourage community participation and independence.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing classroom atmosphere that celebrates the individual personality and achievements of every pupil.

Requirements
