Our specialist partner school in North Manchester is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Mentor to join their team. Competitive salary based on experience and qualification.

Long term placements available (6 weeks plus).
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver one-to-one support for students with ASD and complex needs, following specific instructions within Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Assist students with daily personal care requirements, including feeding, toileting, and mobility support.
- Use de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviour and maintain a calm classroom environment.
- Support the class teacher by preparing sensory resources and adapted learning materials.
- Monitor the physical well-being of students with complex medical needs and report any changes to the school nursing team.
- Help students transition between lessons and therapy sessions throughout the school day.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months UK experience supporting children or young people with SEN, specifically Complex Needs and SEMH.
- Experience working within a secondary school or high school environment is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of safeguarding procedures and the ability to recognise and report concerns immediately.
- Enhanced Children and Adults DBS on the update service (or willingness to process a new application).
