Salary: £33,483 – £45,352 per annum (MPS/UPS dependent on experience)

Our partner Secondary PRU in Chorlton, Manchester is seeking a committed and resilient Maths Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from January 2026. This role is ideal for a passionate teacher who wants to make a genuine impact within a SEMH / Pupil Referral Unit setting.

You will be working with small class sizes, delivering engaging and differentiated KS3 and KS4 Maths to pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs who require a tailored and nurturing approach to learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, differentiated Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils

• Support learners with SEMH needs using positive behaviour strategies

• Adapt the Maths curriculum to meet individual learning needs

• Build strong, consistent relationships with pupils

• Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews

• Create a safe, structured and supportive learning environment

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Minimum 6 months\’ teaching experience in an SEMH / PRU / alternative provision setting

• Minimum 6 months\’ teaching experience in a UK school

• Confident behaviour management and de-escalation skills

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Legal right to work in the UK

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience teaching Maths in a PRU or alternative provision

• Experience delivering Maths to disengaged or vulnerable learners

• Trauma-informed, restorative or therapeutic practice training
