We are looking for a positive and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with students with Autism and associated needs. Full training will be provided. This role is full-time, permanent, term-time only, 8:30-4:30, KS2-4, ages 9-16.
Responsibilities
- Provide teaching assistance as defined by the teacher's weekly, daily or seasonal planning.
- Work 1:1 with students.
- Provide group and/or individual activities planned by the teacher.
- Work independently with learners to develop work.
- Support the general well-being of learners within the school's structure.
- Monitor and evaluate students' learning under the guidance of the teacher.
- Assist teachers in using relevant management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning.
- Support all learners in their planned structured work in all curriculum areas.
Key Skills and Experience
- Ability to work with learners that have various learning difficulties.
- Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners.
- Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
- Flexibility in approach to education.
