We are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants (TAs) to join fantastic secondary schools across Warrington (covering areas like Great Sankey, Stockton Heath, Birchwood, and Lymm, including WA1, WA2, WA3, WA4, and WA5 postcodes). We have roles available for immediate starts as well as positions locking in for September 2026.

What We Need From You

  • Experience: Previous experience working with young people (e.g., in schools, youth clubs, coaching, or mentoring).
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships with teenagers.
  • Traits: A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to supporting different learning styles.

You must hold (or be willing to process) an Enhanced DBS check and have the right to work in the UK.

Key Duties

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small focused groups during lessons.
  • Helping the class teacher prepare learning resources and set up the classroom.
  • Keeping students engaged, focused, and motivated throughout the school day.
  • Helping manage classroom behaviour to maintain a calm learning environment.
  • Giving encouragement to build student's confidence, self-esteem, and independence.
  • Offering feedback to teachers on how individual students are progressing.
