Your Role as a Year 2 Specialist
As a Year 2 Supply Teacher, you are responsible for maintaining high expectations and helping pupils bridge the gap to more independent learning.
Confident Curriculum Delivery: Deliver engaging lessons in Literacy and Numeracy that challenge "Greater Depth" learners while supporting those meeting expectations.
Phonics & Reading: Continue to embed strong decoding skills and foster a genuine love for reading as children move toward more complex texts.
Classroom Leadership: Maintain a focused and positive learning environment using established behaviour management strategies.
Consistent Continuity: Follow the permanent teacher's planning accurately or use your own high-quality "emergency" resources to ensure a productive day of learning.
Essential Requirements
