Key Responsibilities

  • Student Progress: Set ambitious targets, utilize formative and summative data effectively, and provide high-quality "next step" feedback to help students own their learning journey.
  • Inclusive Practice: Adapt and differentiate your teaching to support the needs of all learners, including those with SEND, EAL, and high‑ability students.
  • Collaborative Culture: Work alongside the Head of Department, support staff, and additional classroom adults to develop innovative schemes of work and maintain a safe, well‑ordered learning environment.
  • Ethos & Safeguarding: Actively support the vision and policies of the Academy while prioritising the safety, welfare, and well‑being of every student.

What We Are Looking For

  • We are looking for an exceptional educator who meets the current DfE Teachers' Standards and possesses a secure subject knowledge in Science, with a genuine love for Physics that inspires students.
  • The ability to use student data productively to monitor progress, address misconceptions, and plan impactful future lessons.
  • Excellent classroom management skills built on clear routines, mutual respect, and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with the Academy leadership team, colleagues, parents, and the local community.

Requirements:

Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification and be prepared to teach in accordance with the current DfE Teachers' Pay and Conditions document.
