Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (Term time + 2 weeks)

About the Role
/n
Our client is seeking a dedicated Librarian and Administrative Support Officer to manage our Learning Resources Centre (LRC). In this dynamic role, you will foster a stimulating, organised, and inclusive learning environment, driving a culture of reading for pleasure and academic success across all key stages.
/n
Key Responsibilities
/n
/n
- LRC Operations: Supervise, organise, and timetable the LRC and study centers; manage resource budgets, record-keeping, and ICT maintenance.
/n
- Literacy Promotion: Collaborate with the English and Media departments to organise annual Book Weeks, author visits, and promote reading schemes like Accelerated Reader.
/n
- Student & Curriculum Support: Guide students and staff in resource selection, deliver information-skills training, and run lunchtime, break, and after-school homework/study clubs.
/n
- Community & Staff Engagement: Participate in parent evenings, deliver staff INSET training, and liaise with library networks.
/n

What We Are Looking For
/n
/n
- Qualifications: Degree (or equivalent) plus GCSE English and Mathematics.
/n
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in an inner-city school or educational setting, with proven experience in library management and reading schemes.
/n
- Skills: Solid knowledge of library management systems, the National Curriculum (especially English), and strong organisational capabilities.
/n
- Flexibility: Willingness to support flexible hours, including out-of-academy community links and after-hours study support.
/n
