Are you an expert Upper KS2 practitioner who thrives on the energy of a "final year" classroom? Join our local primary network as a Year 6 Supply Teacher and lead pupils through their most important and memorable year of primary school.
Leadership & Impact: High Stakes, Low Stress
We are seeking confident Year 6 Teachers to provide expert cover across a variety of high-achieving local schools. This role is perfect for those who love the academic depth of the Year 6 curriculum—from complex grammar to advanced problem solving—without the year-long pressure of SATs data accountability.
Academic Mastery: Deliver high-level lessons that challenge "Greater Depth" learners and bridge the gap to KS3.
SATs Support: Use your expertise to facilitate revision sessions or mock assessments with a calm, encouraging, and "can-do" attitude.
Work-Life Balance: Reclaim your evenings! As a supply teacher, you deliver the high-impact teaching Year 6 requires, then leave the data tracking and transition paperwork to the permanent team.
Weekly Pay: Competitive daily rates of £130 - £160, paid every Friday via Randstad.
Your Role as a Year 6 Specialist:
As a Year 6 Supply Teacher, you are a mentor and a leader, ensuring that the "seniors" of the school remain focused, inspired, and prepared.
Advanced Lesson Delivery: Facilitate deep-dive discussions in English and Maths, ensuring pupils are comfortable with the pace and expectations of Upper KS2.
Secondary Readiness: Support pupils in developing the independence, resilience, and organizational skills they need for their upcoming move to secondary school.
Classroom Authority: Maintain a sophisticated, respectful, and high-energy learning environment, managing the unique social dynamics of 10 and 11-year-olds.
Seamless Continuity: Step into a Year 6 setting and immediately provide a stable, professional presence that keeps the momentum of learning high.
Essential Requirements:
We are looking for qualified professionals who are specialists in the "top end" of primary school. You are an ideal fit if you:
- Hold QTS: You have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
- Are a Year 6 Expert: You have a rock-solid understanding of the Year 6 National Curriculum and the KS2 assessment frameworks.
- Are Resilient & Proactive: You can walk into a new classroom and instantly command respect through subject knowledge and a strong, positive presence.
- Are Committed: You hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or are willing to apply) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding.
