This is a unique opportunity to not only act as a Key Worker within our nursery but to take the lead on our Early Years Wraparound Provision, ensuring our youngest learners are supported, engaged, and cared for from the start of their day to the finish.

At our Academy, we don't just look for experience; we look for potential. We want colleagues who genuinely enjoy working with students and are driven to see them succeed.

The Role

As a Nursery Nurse, you will be a cornerstone of our Early Years department. Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Key Worker Responsibilities: Contributing to high-quality teaching, planning, and observations to track child progress.
  • Inclusive Excellence: Working closely with teachers to identify learning barriers and ensuring children with SEN or disadvantaged backgrounds have every opportunity to flourish.
  • Creating Environments: Maintaining a classroom that is reflective, engaging, and constantly evolving to meet the interests of the children.

What You'll Bring

  • Qualifications: Level 3 in Childcare and Education (required) and GCSE-level standard (or equivalent).
  • Skills: A basic knowledge of First Aid (with a willingness to undergo further training) and proficiency in Microsoft software.
  • Mindset: A supportive and welcoming approach to parents, recognizing them as experts on their own children.
  • Awareness: An understanding of social issues facing students and a commitment to breaking down barriers to learning.

  • Financial: Performance and Loyalty Bonus + LGPS Pension Scheme.
  • Health: Wellbeing Cash Plan and access to an electric car scheme.
