Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and delivering Mathematics lessons that translate abstract concepts into real-world, practical applications for SEN learners.
  • Expertly adapting the National Curriculum using P-Scales and entry-level frameworks to meet students at their current point of need.
  • Monitoring small-step progress and celebrating milestones that foster student confidence and independence.
  • Partnering with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that educational targets align with the student's Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Providing a nurturing environment, including personal care support where necessary, to ensure all students feel secure and ready to learn.

Requirements:

  • Must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Previous success teaching Mathematics within a UK SEN school or alternative provision.
  • Proficiency in differentiating for a wide range of needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SLD) and a strong grasp of inclusive classroom management.
  • A patient, resilient, and collaborative professional who thrives in a team-oriented environment.
