Are you a focused and motivated individual with a talent for boosting pupil progress? We are seeking a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant with a strong background in delivering interventions to join our team in Knowsley.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the academic challenge of the upper primary years (Years 3-6). You will play a vital role in helping pupils master complex concepts, bridge attainment gaps, and build the resilience needed for their transition to secondary school. We welcome applications from experienced TAs, graduates, or those with relevant tutoring/coaching backgrounds.
You will be an essential part of the KS2 team, focusing on high-impact learning support:
- Targeted Interventions: Lead small group sessions in Literacy and Numeracy, specifically designed to raise attainment for pupils working below age-related expectations.
- Support Year 6 pupils: Provide booster sessions and practice papers, helping to reduce exam anxiety and improve core subject confidence.
- 1:1 Academic Support: Work closely with pupils with SEN or those requiring additional challenge, adapting classroom materials to ensure the curriculum is accessible yet ambitious.
- Closing the Gap: Use school data and teacher feedback to identify learning gaps and deliver bespoke 'catch-up' sessions.
- Behaviour for Learning: Foster a mature and focused classroom environment, encouraging independence and a 'growth mindset' among older primary pupils.
A minimum of 6 months working with children, ideally within a Key Stage 2 setting or a formal tutoring/caregiving capacity is required. Confident communication skills to engage older children and provide clear feedback to teaching staff and parents are essential.
Academic Proficiency: Strong competency in English and Maths to effectively support the KS2 curriculum.
Joining our 'Team of Talented Teaching Assistants' means you are supported every step of the way:
- Competitive Pay: Weekly pay at daily rates between £95 and £115.
- Professional Mentorship: Access to a dedicated consultant and a supportive school leadership team in Knowsley.
- Perks: Company pension scheme and a £300 'Recommend a Friend' bonus.
