We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we are looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who is just as passionate about student success as we are to join our local secondary schools in and across Liverpool.

Role type: Full/Part time and long term or day to day supply roles available.

Requirements:

  • HLTA Status or a Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification with a proven track record of supporting students.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage classroom behaviour independently and calmly.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to get one - we can help with this).

Key Duties:

  • Lead and deliver pre-planned lessons to whole classes independently.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a productive learning environment.
  • Run small-group interventions to help students catch up in core subjects.
  • Support GCSE students with targeted exam preparation and revision techniques.
  • Adapt lesson materials to meet the specific needs of students.
  • Provide detailed feedback to teachers on student progress and engagement.
  • Supervise and mentor other Teaching Assistants within the department.
  • Assist with exam arrangements, acting as a scribe or reader for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and achievement during cover.
