- Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with diverse needs such as ASD, ADHD, or SEMH.
- Implement structured individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the class teacher and SENDCo.
- Assist in adapting classroom materials and activities to make the curriculum fully accessible.
- Foster emotional regulation, resilience, and independence through positive reinforcement.
- Supervise pupils during transition times, breaks, and sensory room sessions.
Requirements for the Role
- Practical experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEND), within school or care settings.
- A compassionate, patient, and highly adaptable approach to managing sensory and behavioural needs.
- Good foundational qualifications (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics).
- A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to process one).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
