We are currently recruiting a dedicated, resilient, and proactive SEN HLTA for a fantastic specialist school in the South Leeds area.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:45 - 15:15 (Term-time only)
Start Date: ASAP on a long-term basis (with potential to go permanent)

They are a highly regarded Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre (SILC) dedicated to providing a supportive, stimulating, and safe environment for pupils with wide-ranging Special Educational Needs (SEN). Skills Required
- Proven experience confidently leading classes and delivering pre-planned lessons.
- You must hold a relevant HLTA qualification, have extensive experience working at an HLTA level, or hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- The ability to think on your feet and manage challenging behaviours with a calm, professional approach.
- Excellent skills to effectively collaborate with teaching assistants, permanent staff, and external therapists.
Job Responsibilities
- Leading classroom delivery, managing the learning environment, and keeping pupils engaged.
- Supporting pupils with diverse SEN requirements on both a 1:1 and small-group basis.
- Working closely with the class teacher to adapt resources and ensure all learning pathways are accessible.
- Effectively deploying classroom teaching assistants to maintain a safe and highly supportive environment.
Essential Requirements
- Full eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or a willingness to undergo a new check via Randstad.
- Experience working within a UK special educational needs setting or school environment.
