We believe that a clean school is a happy school, and our cleaners are the backbone of the educational environment.
The Job Role:
- Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness across classrooms, staff rooms, and communal halls.
- Sanitising high-touch surfaces such as door handles, desks, and light switches to prevent the spread of germs.
- Deep-cleaning washroom facilities and ensuring they are fully stocked with essentials.
- Vacuuming, mopping, and occasionally using floor-buffing machinery.
- Emptying waste bins and ensuring all refuse is disposed of safely and correctly.
- Reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Site Manager immediately.
Requirements:
- Essential: You must have previous cleaning experience within a UK setting (schools, hospitals, or commercial offices).
- A high level of reliability and punctuality; schools depend on you being there on time.
- Knowledge of basic Health & Safety practices (COSHH training is a bonus, though training can be provided).
- A friendly, approachable manner as you may occasionally interact with school staff or parents.
- An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to process one through Randstad).
