Randstad Education is seeking compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 and small-group Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) support within Key Stage 1 classrooms across Leeds.
Key Requirements
- Essential UK Experience: Verifiable experience within a UK primary school setting supporting KS1 children with SEND (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or Speech & Language barriers).
- EHCP Implementation: Capability to follow Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and adapt national curriculum tasks to meet individual learning needs.
- Safeguarding & Vetting: An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for a new check through Randstad).
- Specialist Skills: Strong de-escalation techniques, patience, emotional resilience, and a proactive approach to inclusive learning.
