About the Role: A Day in the Life
As a Special Education Support Specialist, you\\\โll be a key part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing tailored support to students aged 5-11. Your primary focus will be on fostering confidence, promoting mutual respect, and implementing personalised learning experiences. You\\\โll work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to design and execute individualised learning plans (ILPs).

You\\\โll support students\\\โ emotional and social growth by using specialised tools like fidget toys and wobble cushions, and by creating personalised spaces that meet their unique sensory needs. Responsibilities
- Collaborate on Individualised Plans: Work with a team of professionals to develop and implement learning plans tailored to each child.

What We\\\โre Looking For: Your Skills & Experience
We\\\โre searching for a compassionate and adaptable individual with a passion for special education.
- Experience: A minimum of a year of experience working with children in an educational or care setting, with a focus on SEMH, ASC, or similar needs.
- Qualifications: Relevant certifications such as an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Working with Children, or equivalent training.
- Behaviour Management: A proven ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively while fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and empathetically with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Adaptability: The ability to tailor your support to the unique needs of each child.
- Technical Skills: Basic ICT skills for documentation and communication.
Desirable Skills: Additional training in areas like First Aid, Child Protection, or Team Teach is highly valued.
