The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with diverse special educational needs. Your responsibilities will generally span Monday to Friday, from 8:15 AM to 4:40 PM. You will work closely with class teachers and other specialists to:
- Provide tailored support to individual students and small groups, adapting learning materials and strategies to meet their unique needs.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to the ongoing assessment and progress monitoring of students.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where every student feels valued and can thrive.
- Support students' social, emotional, and communication development, promoting independence and confidence.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.

Who We're Looking For
We're seeking an individual with a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs. Ideal candidates will possess:
- 6-12 months experience working in SEN or SEMH settings, specifically within a school or educational environment.
- Proven experience working with challenging behaviours in an educational context.
- UK-based experience is essential.
- Excellent spoken and written English is a must, enabling clear and effective communication with students, staff, and parents.
- A pass grade in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) is required.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role, as there is no public transport close by.
