Randstad is partnering with Harris Garrard Academy, an outstanding, all-through academy housed in a stunning, award-winning Norman Foster-designed campus to find a proactive Premises Manager. If you are a hands-on facilities professional ready to make a difference, we want to hear from you.

The Role

Reporting to the Estates Manager, you will lead the upkeep, security, and health and safety across both the primary and secondary sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Team: Manage, schedule, and develop the on-site premises team.
  • Maintain the Estate: Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, using your own technical/DIY skills alongside your team.
  • Contractor Management: Supervise external contractors to ensure safety, quality, and value.
  • Health & Safety: Champion site compliance, risk assessments, and building security (including opening/closing).
  • Fleet Management: Oversee the upkeep and servicing of academy vehicles.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Proven experience in premises, facilities, or estate management (ideally in education).
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing hands-on teams.
  • Solid knowledge of health & safety legislation and building compliance.
  • General building maintenance skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
