Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to build a rewarding role in local schools? Whether you are drawn to the total flexibility and fresh variety of day-to-day supply, or you are searching for the stability and connection of a long-term classroom placement, we have fantastic opportunities matched directly to your availability.

We are currently partnering with a welcoming network of primary schools, infant schools, and academies in Ipswich and across the surrounding Suffolk area. We are experiencing high demand for supportive, energetic Teaching Assistants who can jump straight in to assist class teachers, support small groups, and deliver tailored guidance across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.

Whether you are an experienced Primary TA looking for a flexible work-life balance, or a dedicated individual with experience supporting children (in childcare, nursery, or youth settings) eager to build a career in primary education, we can help you find your ideal role.

Choose Your Ideal Way of Working:
  • Day-to-Day Cover: Take complete control of your schedule. Pick and choose the days you work to fit around family life, studies, or personal commitments. It is a fantastic way to gain broad experience across different primary settings with zero take-home responsibilities at the end of the school day.
  • Long-Term Opportunities: If you prefer stability, we offer fixed-term placements spanning a term or a full academic year. This is the perfect way to truly embed yourself within a primary school team, build meaningful bonds with young learners, support classroom activities, and watch pupil progress grow day by day.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support class teachers with daily classroom setup, activity preparation, and maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment.
  • Work with individual pupils or small groups to boost confidence and understanding in core areas such as phonics, reading, writing, and basic numeracy.
  • Assist with classroom management, helping to keep pupils focused, motivated, and actively participating in activities.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, social development, and independence among young learners, both in the classroom and during playground supervision.
  • Help monitor pupil progress and share constructive feedback and observations with the class teacher.
What We Look For:
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning) or solid prior experience supporting children in an educational or child-centred setting.
  • A patient, encouraging, and empathetic nature with strong communication skills.
  • Good foundational knowledge of early reading, phonics, and primary age-group development.
  • An adaptable, hands-on approach and the confidence to take initiative in a lively classroom environment.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one).
Benefits of Working With Us:
  • Competitive rates of pay, processed weekly and reflective of your role and experience.
  • A dedicated local consultant with deep knowledge of the primary education sector in Ipswich and across Suffolk.
  • A completely transparent service that works strictly around your personal schedule and preferences.
  • The opportunity to explore different local primary schools, which frequently leads to direct, permanent contracts.

Ready to make a real difference in primary education in Ipswich? Take charge of your working week today.
