The specialist school in question is an OFSTED "Outstanding" school and leader in the county. The school is currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to support in their secondary division. This role is needed 40 hours a week and is a term time only role (08:30-4:30pm Monday-Friday). This is a fabulous opportunity for a committed, nurturing and empathetic individual.

Applicants will be responsible for helping children from the age of 11 years with severe and complex needs including but not limited to Autism, ASD, SEMH and medical needs. This school is a hugely popular setting and is dedicated to offering a practical, accessible and thought provoking curriculum for all the pupils. The school boasts brilliant grounds and even embraces outdoor learning. The school is recognised for its safe and welcoming ethos and is proud of its long standing senior leadership and committed team.

Qualifications:
  • Relevant teaching or care assistant experience (Must be able to provide references)
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
Responsibilities:
  • Supporting learners on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis
