This specialist community school is currently seeking a SEN Trainee Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis ASAP. This role is needed due to a current member of the support team relocating. The school supports 90 pupils with Autism and associated needs and offers an inclusive, safe and inviting environment where every child can achieve, succeed and overcome challenges. It provides both primary and secondary provision for ages 4-19. The role starts as a 1:1 teacher assistant, and over 1-2 years the candidate will receive training and qualifications to join the teaching team. The position is Monday‑Friday, 9am‑5pm.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities and sensory experiences through the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum to small groups or on a 1:1 basis.
