This specialist school is looking for a teaching assistant to join their team ASAP (notice periods considered) on a full time, permanent basis (40 hours a week). This role is a term time only opportunity. This setting boasts a welcoming and modern site and a welcoming ethos. The setting supports approx. 80+ children and young adults from the age of 5 years upwards. Young people at this setting have complex needs including EBD and Autism so a supportive, nurturing and resilient team member is needed. Every child is treated and respected as an individual so all applicants must be of the same belief.

Post holders will work on a 1:1 basis with students when required as well as support in class with a small group.

All Applicants Requirements:
  • Level 3 Diploma in teaching and learning (desirable not essential)
  • Relevant support work or teaching assistant experience (Must be able to provide references)
Must have / Requirements:
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
Responsibilities:
  • Supporting young people with complex needs from age 5+ years in an education setting
