We are seeking Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across Primary and Secondary settings. Unlike a general assistant, your role is focused on learning outcomes - identifying where a student is struggling and providing the specific scaffolding, tools, and encouragement they need to succeed.
Targeted Academic Support: Lead small group interventions in Literacy and Numeracy, helping students catch up or keep pace with the curriculum.

Your Role as an LSA
As a Learning Support Assistant, you are the link between the teacher's high-level plan and the student's individual understanding.
- Differentiating Resources: Take a standard lesson and "re-package" it - creating simplified worksheets, visual aids, or word banks to suit the specific needs of the learners you support.
- Small Group Leadership: Take charge of "breakout" sessions, guiding 3-5 students through a specific task to ensure they aren't overwhelmed by the pace of the main classroom.
- Promoting Independence: Use the "scaffold and fade" technique - providing heavy support initially and gradually stepping back as the student gains the confidence to work alone.
- Progress Tracking: Maintain clear records of student breakthroughs and hurdles, providing vital data to the Class Teacher and SENCO to help shape future lessons.
