Randstad Education is currently partnering with a supportive and forward-thinking school to recruit a qualified teacher for a fantastic permanent opportunity. We are seeking a dedicated professional who can deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. This is a full-time permanent opportunity and you will be required to support five days a week Monday - Friday inline with school hours.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver a highly differentiated curriculum for a wide age range.
- Lead a small class and effectively manage a team of Teaching Assistants (TAs).
- Create, implement, and review Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Liaise with a multi-disciplinary team, including therapists, parents, and external agencies.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress against their individualised goals.
- Foster a safe, positive, and therapeutic learning environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience as a teacher in an SEN setting or with significant SEN experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and a range of needs (e.g., ASC, SEMH).
- Strong curriculum differentiation and adaptation skills for various age groups.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
