Randstad Education is seeking high‑calibre Cover Supervisors to start ASAP within our partner schools in Bromborough and surrounding areas of the Wirral. We are looking for dedicated professionals with a proven track record in mainstream secondary or SEN settings who are ready to support the local learning community.

Requirements

  • Experience: working with children or young people (e.g., coaching, youth work).
  • Effective communication: skills to explain tasks and give instructions.
  • Strong classroom management: and the ability to handle challenging behaviour.
  • Enhanced DBS: on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Your Role

  • Lead the classroom by supervising students as they complete pre‑set work.
  • Manage student behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
  • Guide learning by explaining lesson objectives and answering student questions.
  • Ensure a safe environment by following all school safeguarding procedures.
  • Take accurate registers and monitor attendance at the start of every lesson.
  • Collect completed work and provide feedback for the returning teacher.
  • Act as a professional role model, encouraging students to stay on task and engaged.
