Nursery Room Leader - Early Years (Level 3) - Forest Row
Are you a passionate Early Years practitioner ready to step into a leadership role? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join our friendly, nurturing team in the heart of Forest Row. In this role, you will lead daily room operations, inspire a team of practitioners, and create a stimulating, safe, and joyful environment where children can thrive.
Role Summary
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Competitive salary negotiable based on experience
Responsibilities
Room Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day running of the room, ensuring high standards of care, early education, and safety.
Curriculum & EYFS: Design and deliver an engaging, child-led curriculum aligned with the EYFS framework.
Team Guidance: Mentor, support, and supervise room staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team culture.
Key Person Duties: Maintain accurate developmental records, conduct assessments, and support individual learning journeys for every child.
Parent Partnerships: Build strong, open relationships with parents and carers through regular communication and updates.
Safeguarding & Health: Uphold strict safeguarding, health, and safety policies at all times to ensure a secure environment.
Qualifications
Certification: Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CACHE, or equivalent/above).
Experience: Proven experience working within an Early Years setting, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
Leadership: Prior supervisory or room leadership experience is preferred, though senior practitioners looking to take the next step in their career are encouraged to apply.
Skills: Exceptional communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for outdoor learning and nature-based play, which aligns perfectly with our Forest Row location.
