Your Specialist Role & Key Impact
As a Specialist One-to-One Study Skills Support Worker, you will provide vital academic guidance and create individual learning plans tailored to student needs. Your primary goal is to foster independent learning by supporting students to:
- Develop independence and build on their learning strengths.
- Create essential strategies for organisation and time management.
- Formulate action plans to successfully stay on track with studies.
- Build on crucial research skills, including widening knowledge, distinguishing appropriate sources, and correctly using references.
- Enhance reading and writing comprehension skills.
You are expected to act professionally, maintain confidentiality, and address any student concerns in a timely manner.
Mandatory Qualification Requirements
This is a specialist, Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) funded role. Candidates must adhere strictly to the qualification framework set out by the Department for Education (DfE). You MUST possess the following three qualifications as a minimum:
