The provision supports children with a primary diagnosis of autism and additional needs such as ADHD, speech and language difficulties, sensory issues and associated behavioural difficulties. It serves about 90 students aged 5‑16, providing a therapeutic, curriculum‑driven environment that motivates and supports their social, emotional and educational growth.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing teaching assistance to the lead teacher based on weekly/daily/seasonal planning
- Working one‑to‑one with students
- Providing group and/or individual activities planned by the teacher
- Working individually with learners to develop work
- Supporting the general wellbeing of learners within the school structure
- Monitoring and evaluating students’ learning under the guidance of the teacher
- Assisting teachers in the use of relevant management strategies to create a purposeful learning environment
- Supporting all learners in their structured work across all curriculum areas
Key skills and experience needed:
- Ability to work with learners who have various learning difficulties
- Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility in the approach to education
- Experience working in SEND settings desirable but not essential
- GSCE Maths and English qualification
