The Role

We are looking for a motivated, steadfast, and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant to join our expert academic teams throughout Croydon. You will play a pivotal role in assisting students with diverse complex requirements - including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges - empowering them to achieve their full academic and social potential.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver Targeted Assistance: Partner with specific cohorts or individual learners to provide a reliable foundation for their success.
- Execute EHCP Goals: Utilise Education, Health and Care Plans to facilitate customised learning objectives and developmental milestones.
- Manage Behavioural Needs: Apply uniform techniques to navigate complex behaviours and encourage healthy emotional self-regulation.
- Foster Independence: Enhance students' interpersonal skills and self-reliance, guiding them through social exchanges and everyday habits.
- Engage in Teamwork: Act as a crucial member of a diverse professional group, including classroom teachers, SENCOs, and visiting specialists.
- Provide Personal Care: Offer assistance with personal care as needed, maintaining the student's dignity and wellbeing at all times.
What We Are Looking For
- Skilled: Practical experience assisting learners with SEN (Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or MLD) is a prerequisite.
