Randstad Education is partnering with a high-quality day nursery in Crawley to find a dedicated, full-time Nursery Room Leader. This is a critical leadership appointment for a reflective practitioner who doesn't just manage a classroom routine, but actively inspires and mentors their team. The role requires full-time commitment, five days a week, Monday to Friday, in alignment with school hours.
Position: Nursery Room Leader
Location: Crawley
Contract Type: Permanent full-time role
Start Date: ASAP
Qualification: Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (Level 4 or above is highly desirable)
Responsibilities:
- Guide staff, conduct peer observations, and run 1:1 training.
- Embed a "curiosity approach" to deliver stimulating activities.
- Deploy staff and resources to seamlessly maintain statutory ratios.
- Enforce strict child protection procedures and daily risk assessments.
- Manage the "EY Log" and provide professional development updates.
Preferred Skills:
- A Level 3 childcare qualification (e.g., Early Years Educator).
- Strong understanding of curiosity-led learning models.
- Proven ability to mentor staff and foster team collaboration.
- Proficient in tracking progress using the EY Log platform.
- Deep knowledge of statutory ratios and Ofsted frameworks.
- Clear professional skills for feedback to staff and parents.
