Cover Supervisors Needed in Southport! Do you have the confidence and leadership skills to maintain high standards in a secondary classroom? We are urgently seeking highly professional, reliable Cover Supervisors to manage classes and ensure learning remains productive across supportive secondary schools in the beautiful Southport area. This is a chance to secure well-paid, impactful work in a great location!

Daily Pay Rate: £90 to £95 per day

Location: Southport- PR8, PR9

As a Cover Supervisor, your role is crucial for stability. You will act as the temporary classroom leader during teacher absence, focusing entirely on maintaining control, discipline, and productivity. You will deliver the pre-prepared lesson, ensuring students are on task and adhering to school rules across various subjects.

Main Duties:

  • Explain and clarify the pre-prepared tasks and instructions left by the absent teacher.
  • Actively supervise students to keep them focused on the task and support independent learning.
  • Manage classroom dynamics effectively, dealing with minor behavioural issues according to school policy.
  • Ensure student safety and respond to immediate welfare needs, following safeguarding procedures.
  • Maintain accurate registers and note any issues or incidents for the returning teacher.
  • Collect completed work and materials at the end of the lesson and secure the classroom.
