The Role
In this position, you will support students with complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs. Many students may have experienced trauma or have associated needs such as ASD or ADHD. You will lead a small classroom (typically 5-8 students) with high staff-to-pupil ratios, ensuring every child receives the intensive support they require to flourish.
Key Responsibilities
- Differentiated Instruction: Create highly personalised learning pathways that cater to various academic levels and emotional needs.
- Emotional Regulation: Implement proactive strategies to help students manage their emotions and de-escalate challenging situations.
- Progress Monitoring: Use both academic and EHCP (Educational Health and Care Plan) targets to measure success.
- Collaborative Working: Partner with LSAs, social workers, and parents to provide a consistent, 360-degree support system for each learner.

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.

- Expertise in positive behaviour management and a restorative justice approach.
