About the Role
Are you passionate about helping children with special educational needs reach their full potential? We\βre looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Class Support Assistant to join the team at our client, a highly-rated, specialist school for autistic children aged 4-19.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in our pupils\β academic, social, and emotional development. Working alongside a committed teaching team, you\βll help deliver engaging learning activities and prepare essential lesson materials. Your duties will also include supervising pupils during play times and meal times, and assisting with off-site educational visits.
A key part of this role involves building positive relationships with children, teachers, and parents, and promoting our pupils\β independence through personal care and hygiene support.
This is a term-time only position, offering a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the social and emotional development of pupils.
- Assisting in the delivery of engaging learning activities.
- Preparing lesson materials and pupil programmes.
- Aiding with off-site educational visits.
- Supervising pupils during indoor and outdoor play times and mealtimes.
- Maintaining a clean and safe learning environment.
- Providing personal care to promote hygiene and independence.
