This includes Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism (ASD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). The Role:
- Contract: Full-time, Ad-hoc Cover (Ongoing)
- Daily Rate: £90 - £110 (depending on experience)
This is a dynamic role providing essential cover across various classrooms. You will be a versatile "helping hand," supporting pupils who may be non-verbal or require significant sensory regulation throughout the school day.
Required Skills & Duties:
- Adaptability: Confidently moving between classes to support different age groups and needs.
- Communication: Using PECS or Makaton to assist non-verbal pupils.
- Personal Care: Assisting with feeding, toileting, and mobility (hoisting/moving and handling).
- Sensory Support: Leading sensory play and calming activities for pupils with high anxiety or ASD.
MUST HAVE:
- Enhanced DBS: On the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for a new one).
- Right to Work: Valid eligibility to work in the UK.
- Experience: Previous experience with SEND, specifically PMLD or ASD.
- Qualifications: Relevant Level 2/3 TA or Care qualification is preferred.
