The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We are hiring an Assistive Technology Trainer to provide life-changing hardware and software training for our diverse community of students and workplace clients with disabilities. This includes the visually and hearing impaired and individuals with dyslexia, AD(H)D, autism, dyscalculia, dysgraphia and dyspraxia. The role will be a combination of remote and onsite training.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish each individual's specific requirements and create a bespoke tailored training plan.
- Adapt teaching styles to provide training in a manner to meet the unique needs of each individual.
- Provide training on a range of assistive technology to each individual on how to use their assistive technology according to their requirements.
- Deliver training in-line with our guidelines and code of conduct to ensure training is delivered effectively.
- Update student files to support their unique training plan; managing training paperwork effectively, accurately and promptly.
- Attend any relevant training to develop existing skills whilst adding to your continual professional development.
- Punctuality with a flexible approach to working hours is required.
Skills and Quality:
- Proven experience in teaching or training assistive technologies or a similar role.
- Proven experience of working with disabled people or people with specific learning differences.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent organisational skills and knowledge of MS Office and office software.
- Experience of a logical approach to problem-solving and paying close attention to detail.
- Ability to learn new assistive software and hardware as required.
Desirable:
- Experience of supporting students in further or higher education with disabilities.
