Randstad Education is seeking an organised and customer-focused HR Administrator to join a busy college HR team. Serving as the primary point of contact for all initial HR queries, you will deliver efficient administrative support across payroll, recruitment, employee records, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Support: Input data into the HR Management System (HRMS) for new starters, leavers, contract changes, and monthly increments. Calculate pay adjustments, track sickness/absence, and reconcile monthly BACS reports prior to authorisation.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Draft job adverts, manage vacancy data on the HRMS, assemble interview packs, prepare offer letters and contracts, and complete pre-employment checks.
  • Staff Development: Coordinate logistics for staff training events, facilitate the new-starter induction process, and track compliance for mandatory refreshers (e.g., safeguarding).
  • General HR Operations: Maintain accurate, confidential employee records, handle service user inquiries promptly, and draft departmental correspondence while maintaining audit compliance.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Qualifications: GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) required. A CIPD qualification or HR Certificate/Diploma is desirable.
  • Experience: Proven administrative experience in a fast-paced environment (HR, recruitment, or payroll experience preferred).
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office, data entry accuracy, database management, and payroll/HR system operation.
  • Key Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication, strong attention to detail, discretion with confidential data, and the ability to prioritise demanding deadlines.
  • Mobility: Flexibility to travel between campus sites as required.
