Key Responsibilities- Deliver Engaging Drama Lessons: Plan and deliver lively, practical sessions across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE), exploring script analysis, physical theatre, improvisation, and stagecraft.
- Full Curriculum Ownership: Take charge of full class responsibilities, including lesson preparation, practical demonstrations, ongoing assessment, and GCSE performance preparation.
- Foster Studio Confidence: Create an inclusive, supportive studio environment where pupils are encouraged to express ideas, collaborate respectfully, and build theatrical skills.
- Productions & Extra-Curricular: Support school plays, drama clubs, and showcase events to enrich the vibrant creative arts culture across the wider school community.
- Maintain Safety & Standards: Ensure performance spaces and technical stage equipment are managed safely while upholding high standards of behavior and participation.
We are searching for an articulate, creative Drama Teacher with strong subject expertise and excellent classroom leadership. Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS. Proven track record of working as a Drama Teacher within a UK secondary school setting. Outstanding communication skills to motivate pupils of all abilities and build performing confidence. Effective classroom and practical studio management strategies grounded in positive reinforcement. Holds an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to process one through Randstad).
