Key Responsibilities

Deliver Inspiring Lessons: As an impactful English Teacher, you will plan and teach engaging English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE), aligned with the UK National Curriculum.

Full Curriculum Ownership: Take charge of full class responsibilities, including lesson preparation, constructive marking, and tracking student attainment to boost academic outcomes.

Cultivate Communication Skills: Create a dynamic learning environment where pupils feel confident exploring complex texts, debating ideas, and refining their written expression.

Departmental Support: Work alongside departmental peers to refine schemes of work, share resources, and support extra-curricular literacy initiatives or revision sessions.
Candidate Profile
We are searching for an articulate, creative English Teacher with strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom leadership.

Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.

Proven track record of working as an English Teacher within a UK secondary school setting.

Outstanding communication skills to engage pupils of all abilities and foster high standards.

Effective classroom management strategies grounded in positive encouragement and clear boundaries.

Holds an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to process one through Randstad).
