In this dynamic, student-facing role, you will coordinate the administration of all college bursaries, assess student applications, and ensure funding is allocated accurately to support learners throughout their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Finance Collaboration: Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure timely, regular bursary disbursements throughout the term.
  • Data & Systems Management: Maintain accurate, confidential, and auditable records using bespoke systems such as PayMyStudent, Promonitor, and EBS.
  • Appeals & Reporting: Assist the Student Support & Safeguarding Manager by compiling documentation for bursary appeals and gathering data to track key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Experience: Proven track record in a busy administrative role with strong customer service experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with bespoke administrative software, databases, and IT packages.

  • Compliance: Subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check (or an active DBS on the Update Service) and a 6-month probationary period.

  • Prior experience working within a Further Education (FE) or Post-16 learning environment.
  • Familiarity with education management systems (PayMyStudent, Promonitor, EBS).
