Teaching assistants are the silent superheroes in the classroom. Randstad is in search of a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a wonderful school in Bristol. This role would suit an individual who wishes to work closely with children needing additional support in the classroom in their learning and progress.

Your responsibilities as a SEN TA are:
- Work on a 1:1 or small group basis with children who have Special Educational Needs
- Lesson/work planning for the students you are working with
- Utilise learning schemes in order to progress your student's learning
- Report back to parents and teachers regarding the students' progress
- Supporting children's physical, social and emotional well-being
- Completion of daily records for pupils
- Classroom preparation for the following school day
Requirements & skills to get started with this job:
- Experience working with SEN pupils
- An Enhanced child DBS on the update service
- Legal right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
- Able to make an impression on both us and our client
- Previous experience in Schools is preferred (must be able to provide 2 recent professional references)
- Flexibly adhere to the needs of the children in a professional and friendly manner
- Good classroom management skills
- Managing challenging behaviour and supporting the class teacher
- Ability to assist teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment for children with social, emotional and mental health needs
