Your responsibilities as a SEN TA are

  • Work on a 1:1 or small group basis with children who have Special Educational Needs
  • Lesson/work planning for the students you are working with
  • Utilise learning schemes in order to progress your student's learning
  • Report back to parents and teachers regarding the students progress
  • Supporting children's physical, social and emotional well-being
  • Completion of daily records for pupils
  • Classroom preparation for the following school day

Requirements & skills to get started with this job

  • Experience working with SEN pupils
  • An Enhanced child DBS on the update service
  • Legal right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this role)
  • Able to make an impression on both us and our client
  • Previous experience in Schools is preferred (must be able to provide 2 recent professional references)
  • Flexibly adhere to the needs of the children in a professional and friendly manner
  • Good classroom management skills
  • Managing challenging behaviour and supporting the class teacher
  • Ability to assist teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment for children with social, emotional and mental health needs
