Role Overview

You will work within a friendly early years team to support children's learning and development, contributing to an environment where children feel happy, confident and encouraged to explore. This role suits practitioners who enjoy creative play, problem solving, and building nurturing relationships with children. This nursery is a vibrant early years setting dedicated to providing a nurturing "home-from-home" environment where children feel safe to explore and grow. Focused on the holistic development of infants and preschoolers, the setting emphasises learning through play and outdoor discovery.

Main Duties

  • Supporting room staff with planned EYFS activities
  • Engaging children in sensory, messy, outdoor, and small-group play
  • Assisting in maintaining accurate observations and records
  • Ensuring each child's safety, well-being and inclusion
  • Helping with sleep routines, meals, and personal care
  • Building strong communication with your team and parents
  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding at all times
