Your Role as a Secondary Lead
As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you are responsible for maintaining academic momentum and ensuring students remain engaged and respectful.
- Expert Lesson Delivery: Deliver pre-planned lessons with confidence, ensuring that students in Years 7-13 continue to make progress against the National Curriculum.
- High-Level Classroom Management: Utilise sophisticated behaviour management strategies to maintain a focused and productive learning environment for teenagers.
- Differentiated Support: Adapt the delivery of materials on the fly to support students with SEND or to stretch higher-attaining pupils at Key Stage 4.
- Professional Handovers: Provide concise, high-quality feedback to the department head to ensure seamless continuity for the student's regular teacher.
Essential Requirements
We are looking for subject specialists with a strong classroom presence. You are an ideal fit if you:
- Hold QTS: You have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification (ECTs are encouraged to apply).
